Dr. Päivi Kukkamäki and her Suzuki Voice Students

1986 - 2021

• The Program and its material have been developed with the children at Sibelius University, Finland by Dr. Päivi Kukkamäki 1986 - 2002. In her Follow-up study she taught the same children from pregnancy to the age of 17. The first expectant mothers' Suzuki Voice group started in Finland in May 5th, 1987. 

• February 28th 2003 Kukkamäki used the completed Suzuki Voice Program to gaim her the Doctorate of Music degree at Sibelius University. The opponent professors were from four different Universities.

• The Suzuki Voice Program has been specially designed to learn vocal technique and style in a progressive manner. It is a Classical Voice Program approved by the ISA.

Note: The name in English has changed 3 times: Suzuki Singing is the same thing as Suzuki Voice. Early years called Singing in the Suzuki Style. The Program is called in Finnish Laulusuzukimenetelmä since 1986.
