More folk songs accompanied by piano or guitar or harp. Languages and part singing in canon and harmony are introduced. For the very young children, the teacher or parent may sing a duet part but older children can sing these together.
The first eleven songs of Volume 2 are more difficult than simple melodies in Volume One. Volume Two songs # 1—11 have many verses and the range of the songs is wider than in Volume One. In Volume Two students learn more languages: English, Finnish, French, German, Italian, Japanese and Spanish. Also Volume One songs are repeated in different languages. Through singing and songs the students and teachers are able to learn from other countries and to understand more about different cultures and languages.
Part singing in canon and harmony are introduced in certain pieces. Each song presents a new skill in singing, which is studied with the teacher. The songs in the volume are the basic material. When the child is able to sing them very well they feel successful. This feeling of accomplishment fosters the child's self-confidence and courage in using his own voice.
The goal of the Suzuki Voice Program is to create a love of singing while enriching children with the skills and ability to sing well. This includes daily singing, natural development of the singing voice, increasing the significance of singing and listening and training clear articulation and verbal skills. The child is encouraged to develop self-confidence and perseverance, concentration and good social skills when working with others.
Volume 2 is for 4-6-year-olds Suzuki Voice Students.
The International Suzuki Voice Committee has decided 2013 that until we have publication avaiable Suzuki Voice Volumes and materials are available only to accredited Suzuki Voice Teachers and also accepted Suzuki Voice Teacher-in-trainings.
